On 22nd April 2013 Friends of Glossop Station and Northern hosted an event at Glossop Station to unveil a new display case featuring the two National awards the station won last year by Sir William McApline Bt, Chairman of The Railway Heritage Trust.
A presentation was also made to Mark Barker, Client and Stakeholder Manager for Northern to celebrate his retirement. Mark will be much missed and Neil praised his involvement with FOGS over the years.
Flowers were given to Dawn Wolrich and Hazel Bonner from ACoRP (also see ACoRP's Facebook page for their photographs of the event) and to Jean Wharmby for her unstinting support too of FOGS. (Photos John Kimpton)

The official official coverage of Saturday 3rd December FoGS Xmas Gala, by Chris Strogen, resident FoGS photographer.

On Saturday 3rd December, Santa paid his annual visit to Glossop Station.  Well over 100 children got to meet him.  Every one of them received a present because they'd been good.

John Kimpton was on hand to document this special occasion.

On 14th October, MP for High Peak Andrew Bingham visited Glossop Station.  Here are the highlights of the visit.

The very successful storytelling train event took place in March, as part of an ACoRP nationwide initiative.

Caroline England read and acted out a story between Glossop and Manchester Piccadilly in a train decorated as a jungle.

Five years of negotiation with Network Rail resulted in temporary access being granted onto the rails.

We got started really early (6am!) on two consecutive Sundays, and made a start on tidying and replanting the banking.

We also took the opportunity to clean litter from the tracks.
