The High Peak and Hope Valley Community Rail Partnership (HP&HVCRP) works to improve rail stations and services in the High Peak and surrounding area, and promote the use of rail services. The CRP was reconstituted in 2008 from a Rural Transport Partnership that had been in existence for over 10 years

The Railway Heritage Trust was launched in October 1984 at ‘The Future of the Railway Heritage’ conference in London. It was incorporated as an independent company limited by guarantee and began operating in April 1985. It is formally owned by its members and independent of both Network Rail and the Highways Agency, although both bodies provide its sponsorship.
