Our guest to switch on the Christmas Tree Lights this year at around 11.20 is Natalie Loughborough, Customer Service Director for Northern Rail. It is a pleasure to welcome Natalie back to Glossop!
Also returning by popular demand is the folk group SPINDRIFT. They will be providing lots of festive music! Christmas tree decoration craftmaking will take place in sessions organised by Andrea Strogen with materials kindly supplied by Simon Denvers. There will be a Christmas raffle and the sale of soft toys which have been kindly donated to us. Joining us for the first time will be Glossop Police Cadets recently formed by Derbyshire Police. Seasonal refreshments will be available from the Station's popular cafe TWIG.
In the week leading up to the event the station will again be decorated for Christmas by members of FOGS with the support of Northern. We would like to thank Theo McLauchlan Glossop Line Manager for all his help and advice with planning our arrangements. And also thanks to Matthew Worman, Client and Stakeholder Manager for Northern, for the provision of excellent publicity material about the event.
So do come and join us at what we hope will be another fun event! Last year we had record breaking numbers attend and we are happy to welcome new and returning guests this year!
