At Glossop Bunty, Jacqueline and Linda were kept busy teddy tagging and welcoming visitors. Glossop Model Railway Society's interactive layout manned by Martin and Mike drew a constant stream of admirers. Over at the craft making stall Laura, Andrea and Thea helped create many a coloured crown! And Caroline England's Storytelling session filled the Waiting Room with happy young fans!
At Hadfield children were busy colouring in teddies whilst sampling teddy biscuits. A school band entertained the crowds at Hattersley with face painting and bouncy castle proving big hits all overseen by a local Queen surveyed this happy scene from her throne! Despite the rain at Guide Bridge, Postman Pat and a Royal Mail theme made everyone smile!
The four friends' groups at the stations would like to thank everyone who came along to join in the fun. Thanks to the Guards on the trains for their patience and good humour. Special thanks to Theo McLauchlan, Glossop Line Manager, who visited us all and kindly arranged the free travel with Arriva Trains North.
We were delighted that, for many visitors, it was their first experience of our trains and local stations. We hope they will become regular visitors!
