Yesterday Monday 7th March marked the retirement at Dinting of Janet who had worked at the booking office for 17 years! And 12 years before that at a clerical post at Glossop Station. Janet's cheery and professional presence will be much missed at Dinting station. Over these years Janet has, of course, got to know many of her regular customers well and has seen the use of the station increase.
We would like to thank Janet very much for all her help, advice and support with the projects that have taken place at Dinting in particular the Project Earth Ceramics display. We were very pleased that Alex Hynes, MD of Northern, was able to visit Dinting last summer to see this display and meet Janet! Janet has also kindly watered our plants in the hanging baskets in the summer and found space to display Folk Train and Guided Walks posters.
We wish Janet a long, happy and healthy retirement!
